RESEARCH

Checkpoint Peace has several dimensions, and one important part is research. We’ve invited German academics to take part in our project in order to research the acute and deep topic of pacifism in Germany.

Four essays that dissect the distorted understanding of peace among contemporary German pacifists through 4 historical points: the end of World War II, the beginning of the Cold War/building of the Berlin Wall, the reunification of East and West Germany, and contemporary pacifist marches.
